Join Our Pilot: Smarter Fabric Management for Fashion Brands
Circular Innovations and Hogeschool Utrecht are launching a pilot programme to help fashion brands optimise production, eliminate preventable deadstock, and turn leftover fabrics into measurable financial and environmental gains.
The pilot has already started with Kuyichi as our first partner, and we are now welcoming a small number of additional brands to join. Together, we’ll explore practical, data-driven ways to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and bring circularity into day-to-day production operations.
We’re inviting forward-thinking brands to join this exclusive opportunity.

In every production run, manufacturers purchase 3–7% extra fabric to cover production risks. But what happens to that leftover material?
Together with Hogeschool Utrecht’s AI & Data Analytics Department, we’re building a system that shows the effectiveness of implementing solutions such as production optimisation avoiding deadstock before it happens. With the tool real time changes in emission and cost can be detected.

During the pilot program we are building the following tools:
Fabric Surplus Calculator
Transparency Dashboard
The pilot kicked off in September 2025 in collaboration with Hogeschool Utrecht. We are conducting our research with real industry data from participating pilot brands, ensuring that the tool works in practice, not just in theory.
As a pilot brand, you’ll get:
Be among the first to lead the way in smarter, circular production.
